MERRICK MEDICAL CENTER HIRES NEW PHYSICIAN.
Merrick Medical Center is excited to welcome Dr. Rick Poppe to our physician team in August.
A native of North Platte, Dr. Poppe attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney, where he was a member of the cross country and track teams. While at UNK, Dr. Poppe met his wife Laura.
After receiving his bachelor’s degree at UNK, Dr. Poppe and Laura moved to Omaha where he attended medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Laura received a Master’s Degree at Creighton University.
Dr. Poppe has a passion for family medicine, pediatrics care and women’s health. He, his wife Laura and their 3 children, Paul (5), Holland (2), and Grace (6 months) are looking forward to moving to Central City and becoming a part of the community.
