“For more than 40 years, The Caring Kind award has been given to Nebraska's most caring and compassionate hospital employees through the Nebraska Hospital Association . The award honors outstanding health care employees who have demonstrated compassion for patients, cooperation with coworkers, and dedication to excellence in their job responsibilities.
This year, Jody Hoffart is our 2022 Caring Kind recipient.
Since joining our team in 2013, Jody has always been willing to help out. Her nomination mentioned how you can find her, on any given day, escorting patients during outpatient clinic days, washing dishes in dietary when they are short staffed, helping with computer issues - you ask, and she will help. It's always nice to see her interactions with patients because she is always making small talk and making sure their needs are met. Jody is not only a positive and cheerful co-worker, but more importantly, she is always very thoughtful. Jody is responsive to the needs of others and of her job responsibilities and is very worthy of this award. She has gone above and beyond to support the entire campus this past year, and is always willing to help out without hesitation. She has come in early and on weekends to provide support in the kitchen; you can seen her helping out at the nurses station answering phones, she helps distribute supplies to departments; she's always on the go. You give her a task, and it will be done; there's no project too big or small.
