On December 10, 2024, Rep. Bacon expressed support for a basic pay increase for junior enlisted service members through the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). He stated that passing the NDAA would provide "junior enlisted with a 14.5% basic pay increase and other service members a 4.5% basic pay increase," aiming to alleviate their financial burdens while improving living costs. "Our junior enlisted service members deserve a basic pay increase..."
Later that day, Bacon highlighted the urgency of passing the Farm Bill to support farmers and ranchers. He emphasized this need with a succinct message: "Our farmers and ranchers need the #FarmBill to pass ASAP "
In another post on December 10, Rep. Bacon addressed defense spending concerns during an interview with Defense One. He acknowledged the importance of maintaining combat capability while being open to reviewing wasteful programs: “... if you can show a wasteful program—by all means, right, I'm good to look at it...”
