In recent announcements via social media, Rep. Don Bacon, who has been serving Nebraska's 2nd district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, shared perspectives on pressing international and local issues. His communication weighed on matters concerning national security and local governance, reflecting a multifaceted approach to his political representation.

On April 1, 2025, Rep. Bacon expressed support for the Republican Study's "Enforcing Maximum Pressure" plan concerning Iran. He emphasized the risks posed by Iran acquiring nuclear weapons and reiterated the imperative for America not to ease diplomatic and economic pressure. As outlined, "Glad to back @RepublicanStudy’s ‘Enforcing Maximum Pressure’ plan to counter Iran’s growing aggression. America can’t forget what Iran has done & should not let up until this regime is out. If Iran obtains nuclear weapons, it will become an existential threat to Israel & America."

On April 2, 2025, Bacon congratulated Mayor Jean Stothert on her electoral victory while highlighting Omaha’s economic successes and improvements in public safety. As noted, "Congrats to Mayor Jean Stothert on a big election win. Forbes rates Omaha the #1 place to live in America. Omaha has the fastest growing economy in America. Crime is going down unlike many big cities in America."

Also, on the same day, Bacon recounted a meeting with Ukrainian officials, stressing the strategic and national security importance of supporting Ukraine. He specifically welcomed the Chair of the Defense Committee, MP Oleksandr Lytvynenko, to Congress. Bacon acknowledged Ukraine's independence as pivotal to America's interests, stating, "I welcomed Ukraine Parliament’s Chair of the Defense Committee MP Oleksandr Lytvynenko to Congress. An independent and free Ukraine is in America’s national security interests. Also in picture is MP Galyna Mykhailyuk."
