Rep. Don Bacon, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska's 2nd district, shared several updates on his recent activities through a series of tweets. His posts covered a range of topics including condemnation of hate crimes, agricultural policy discussions, and mental health initiatives for correctional officers.

On February 5, 2025, Rep. Bacon addressed the issue of rising anti-Hindu hate crimes. He stated, "We must condemn hate against peaceful religious groups. With FBI data showing a rise in anti-Hindu hate crimes, I joined a bipartisan resolution condemning this hate and celebrating Hindu Americans' contributions."

Later that day, he highlighted discussions with the Nebraska Corn Board about key agricultural policies. On February 6th at 00:45 UTC, Rep. Bacon met with the widow of Correctional Officer Blake Schwarz to discuss legislation aimed at addressing mental health challenges among correctional officers. He tweeted "Today I met with the widow of Correctional Officer Blake Schwarz to talk about Rep Miller-Meeks bill named after her husband. It addresses the growing mental health crisis among correctional officers and expands access to mental health and suicide prevention services."
