Rep. Don Bacon, a U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska's 2nd district since 2017, has been vocal on social media about issues related to antisemitism and public safety. His recent tweets highlight his commitment to these causes.

On February 19, 2025, Rep. Bacon announced his new role as House Co-Chair for the Bipartisan Task Force for Combatting Antisemitism. He shared a personal experience from his youth: "I witnessed antisemitism at 15 and chose to intervene. I refuse to be a bystander as it spreads like a virus." He emphasized the need to confront all forms of racism.

Later that day, he addressed an incident in New York City involving violence against Jewish-Americans during a protest. He expressed strong disapproval of the actions taken by some protestors: "Pro-Hamas protestors in a Jewish neighborhood with one trying to stab Jewish-Americans… Americans find this disgusting." Rep. Bacon called for accountability and zero tolerance for antisemitism.

In another tweet on February 19, Rep. Bacon showed support for legislative efforts by joining Rep. Feenstra as an original cosponsor on unspecified legislation: "Pleased to join @RepFeenstra as an original cosponsor on this!"
