Rep. Don Bacon, a U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 2nd district, recently shared his thoughts on social media regarding historical events and international affairs. He also reflected on personal motivations in an interview with Steve Lance.

On February 17, 2025, Rep. Bacon posted about the origins of President's Day, stating that "In 1879, former Pres. George Washington's birthday was made a holiday. It is now known as President's Day!"

Later that day, he expressed concerns about the geopolitical situation in Eastern Europe, emphasizing the importance of NATO for certain countries' security. In his tweet from February 17, 2025, he stated that "If Latvia, Estonia & Lithuania were not part of NATO, it is very likely that Putin would have already invaded them. Putin denies their sovereignty as it is. These countries want democracy, independence, free markets & rule of law. NATO serves a great purpose & remains relevant."

In another post on February 17, 2025, Rep. Bacon shared his gratitude for an interview with NTD's Steve Lance where he discussed various aspects of his life and career motivations: "I thank Steve Lance with NTD for a great interview. I was asked about what motivated me to serve, what is my 'true north,' my favorite quote, my marriage of 41 years, and my favorite accomplishment. My faith is what ultimately guides me."
