The Howard County Communications Center will be celebrating National Public Safety Telecommunicator Week April 10th-16th. This week is set aside each year to honor the men and women of 911 who serve our community tirelessly by answering emergency calls, dispatching Law, Fire and EMS, and rendering life-saving assistance to those in need.

Howard County is blessed with a great group of Telecommunicators who are committed to serving our community. Each year our Telecommunicators are celebrated during this week as a special thanks. This year we would like to get our community (YOU) involved!

Please consider "Adopting a Dispatcher". This is a special way for the community to thank each individual for the work that they do. Appreciation can be shown by small gift cards, gift baskets, food, drinks or however you choose. We are excited to see how creative our community can be! Participation can be from individual families, work/office groups, church groups, emergency service groups, friend groups or anyone else who would like to participate.

To receive a dispatchers name or to request someone specific email our Chief Dispatcher Melissa Paxton @ Chiefdispatcher@howardcountyso.org. During the week of April 4th-8th your appreciation packages can be dropped off to The Howard County Communications Center. Please make arrangements with Chief Dispatcher Melissa Paxton per the above email for drop off.

Help us make this a special week for our first responders behind the scenes, THE HIDDEN HEROES!  Your Howard County Dispatchers!
