Long-Time SCSO Employees Honored at Retirement

Please join Shelby County Sheriff Floyd Bonner, Jr., Chief Deputy Scott Wright, and Chief Jailer Kirk Fields in congratulating the following SCSO employees on their recent retirement: Corrections Deputy Michelle Willett (38 years), Corrections Deputy Janice Johnson (32 years), Hershel Cole, Jr. (30 years), Deputy Brian Brooks (29 years), Deputy John Shields (27 years), Deputy David L. Avery (25 years), Corrections Deputy Willie Braxton, Jr. (25 years), Corrections Deputy Damous Hailey (25 years), Lieutenant James Masters (25 years), Deputy David McKinney (25 years), Sergeant James Westmoreland (25 years), Candice McAbee (23 years), Corrections Deputy Sandra Penix (23 years), and Angenetta Williams (21 years). These 14 men and women represent more than 370 combined years of service to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office. They were honored and recognized at a retirement reception held May 25 at the SCSO Training Academy.
