We are very pleased to announce that today we have reached a contractual agreement to fill the Interim Superintendent position with Mr. William A. Kuester. Please join us in welcoming Mr. Kuester to our District for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year.
Mr. Kuester brings Boone Central a wealth of experience in Education. He received his bachelor’s degree from Chadron State College in 1971. As an educator he taught physical education, business classes, driver’s education and had coaching assignments at North Platte St. Patricks, followed by stops at North Bend, Ashland-Greenwood Public Schools and at Neligh-Oakdale Public Schools.
He then started his leadership career as the elementary principal at Neligh-Oakdale. After three years Kuester was named superintendent at Clearwater Public Schools which eventually joined as a Unified District with Orchard and Verdigre where he was the assistant superintendent and superintendent, eventually retiring from the district.
After a brief retirement Kuester returned to leadership as the interim superintendent at Howells-Dodge assisting the Jaguars in the second year of their merger. His most recent roles were back home at Neligh-Oakdale where he served in another interim role in both 2015-2016 and 2019-2020.
We are happy to say he can now join his grandsons in donning the Red and White daily.
