Have a happy 4th of July holiday! Please be safe and courteous when discharging fireworks! 

And most of all, clean up all firework debris as soon as it is safe to do so.

$ 7-501 FIREWORKS; PERMITTED FIREWORKS. It shall be unlawful for any person(s) to sell fireworks of any description whatsoever, except those approved by the Nebraska State Fire Marshal under Title 157 Chapter 8. Nebraska Administrative Code - Permissible Fireworks in the State of Nebraska for 2010. Fireworks of any description are permissible for purposes of public exhibitions or displays as authorized by the Nebraska State Fire Marshal, and said vendor shall secure a Nebraska State Fire Marshal license prior to such sales. Color Wheels, toy cap pistols and permissible caps may be sold at retail at all times, provided that all other fireworks named may be sold only between June 28 and July 5.

It shall be unlawful for any person to throw any firecracker, or any object which explodes upon contact with another object from or into a motor vehicle, onto any street, highway, or sidewalk at or near any person into any building, or into or at any group of persons

97-503 FIREWORKS; HOURS OF DISCHARGE. Any person(s) shall be permitted to discharge any form of lawful fireworks during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on the dates of June 28 through July 3 of each year. On July 4, discharge of fireworks shall be permitted from the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 12:05 a.m. of the following day, July 5, of each year. The discharge of fireworks within the City of Saint Paul on any dates or times other than as set out in this section shall require prior approval of the City Council

$ 7-504 FIREWORKS; PUBLIC DISPLAY OR EXHIBITION. Fireworks may be permissible for purposes of public exhibitions or displays as authorized by the City Council. Displays or public exhibitions requiring a permit by the Nebraska State Fire Marshal pursuant to RS Neb. Title 157 or 28-1239.01, shall be obtained prior to seeking City Council approval

$ 7-601 VIOLATION; PENALTY. Any person who shall violate or refuse to comply with the enforcement of any of the provisions of this Chapter, set forth at full length herein or incorporated by reference shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof, shall be fined not more than one hundred ($100.00) dollars for each offense. A new violation shall be deemed to have been committed every twenty-four (24) hours of such failure to comply
