On Friday, September 16, 2022, Deputy Shannon Sydik is retiring from a full-time position with the Saunders County Sheriff’s Office after 13 years. During her career she has served over 30 years as a certified law enforcement officer.
Shannon started her law enforcement employment with the Lincoln Police Department and worked there from 1977 to 1987. She then came to work at the Saunders County Sheriff’s Office from 1988 to 1998 as a Deputy and Investigator. In 2009, she was hired as an Administrative Assistant in Corrections and in 2017 was assigned as the Communications Manager in the 911 Center.
Shannon currently holds the title of Special Projects Coordinator and will continue to work for the department in a temporary part-time status until the end of this year assisting with special investigations, building security and other special projects as assigned.
