77.4% of Merrick County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 7,687 citizens living in Merrick County in 2021, 77.4% were old enough to vote, equating to 5,953 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 3,018 were male, constituting 50.7%, and 2,935 were female, making up 49.3%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Merrick County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 75.1%.
