Rep. Don Bacon, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 2nd district, shared a series of tweets on November 23, 2024, highlighting his recent activities and views on international matters. Bacon has been a member of Congress since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017.

On November 23, 2024, Rep. Don Bacon tweeted about being recognized by Blue Star Families alongside Rep. Chrissy Houlahan for their leadership in the House Armed Services Committee's Military Quality of Life Panel. He stated that their bipartisan efforts resulted in "the most thorough review of policies impacting our service-members and military families in the history of the United States." "I was recognized by Blue Star Families alongside @RepHoulahan for our leadership of the HASC Military Quality of Life Panel."

Later that day, he addressed ongoing geopolitical tensions involving Russia and Ukraine. In his tweet, Bacon asserted that Russia has been attacking Ukraine even before 2014 and emphasized Ukraine's desire for democracy and free markets while accusing Russia of seeking dominance over its neighbors. In another tweet from November 23, Rep. Bacon welcomed Senator Tom Brewer to his Washington D.C. office. He highlighted Brewer's military background with six tours in Afghanistan and two Purple Hearts, as well as his frequent travels to Ukraine to understand the implications if Russia were to prevail in its conflict with Ukraine."I welcomed Senator & Colonel (R) Tom Brewer to our D.C. office."
