Rep. Don Bacon criticizes fiscal policy and government regulations

Rep. Don Bacon, a U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska's 2nd district since 2017, recently shared his views on several national issues through social media posts. Bacon has been an active voice in Congress and frequently engages with the public via online platforms.

On December 10, 2024, Rep. Bacon highlighted discrepancies in financial projections related to the Inflation Reduction Act. He stated that "The CBO said the Inflation Reduction Act would create $58.1B in savings. The reality is it has resulted in $428B in new deficit spending."

Later the same day, he criticized federal regulations concerning household appliances, expressing concern over governmental intrusion into private homes. He tweeted that "The Biden Administration has become way too intrusive in our homes. Keep your hands off our Washers and Dryers."

Additionally, Rep. Bacon praised Israel's missile defense capabilities, noting their success over the past year. In another tweet from December 10th, he remarked that "Israel has shot down 30,000 missiles, drones and cruise missiles the last 14 months. A strong missile defense works."
