On January 20, 2025, Rep. Bacon highlighted a bipartisan legislative initiative with fellow Congressional Representative Mikie Sherrill aimed at addressing car theft issues. He posted, "ICYMI: Congressional Reps. Sherrill, Bacon Reintroduce Bipartisan Legislation to Stop Car Theft."
Later that day, he expressed his condolences regarding the passing of Walt Peffer. In his message, he stated, "Angie and I send thoughts and prayers to Sue Peffer, and the rest of Walt Peffer’s family on his passing. Walt gave selflessly to the community and this country..." Peffer was recognized for his service in the Army and various civic roles.
