Rep. Don Bacon praises Baltic allies and acknowledges local contributions

Rep. Don Bacon, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska's 2nd district since 2017, recently shared his views on various topics through social media posts. Bacon has been active in political discourse, offering insights on international alliances, sports retirements, and local economic issues.

On January 29, 2025, Rep. Don Bacon expressed his appreciation for the Baltic states as NATO allies. He highlighted their commitment to defense spending relative to GDP: "Lithuania and our other two Baltic partners, Latvia and Estonia, are great NATO allies. They spend more on defense as a share of GDP than the United States. They lead by example."

On January 30, 2025, he congratulated John Cook on his retirement from NU Volleyball after 25 years: "Sending best wishes to John Cook on his retirement after 25 incredible years with NU Volleyball! I became a team fan when I retired from the military 11 years ago. He's made a difference in women's sports, and we'll definitely miss him!"

Later that day, Bacon discussed the importance of agriculture to Nebraska's economy: "Agriculture drives Nebraska’s economy, which is why I serve on @HouseAgGOP. The last four years have been tough, but we have opportunities with trade, cyber protections, biofuels, and helping young farmers."
