Rep. Don Bacon, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 2nd district, has expressed his support for various political appointments and extended condolences in recent social media posts. Known for his tenure since 2017, Bacon shared his views on the qualifications of Doug Collins and Elise Stefanik for significant roles within the government.

On January 31, 2025, Rep. Don Bacon endorsed Doug Collins for a prominent position, stating "I’ve known Doug Collins since 2016. He’ll make a fantastic Secretary of the VA! He’s a Vet, and he’ll be dedicated to the Vets."

Later that day, Rep. Bacon commented on another political appointment by praising Elise Stefanik's potential role at the United Nations: "Elise Stefanik will be superb as our Ambassador to the U.N. She’ll oppose the anti-Semitism that dominates the U.N."

In addition to political endorsements, Rep. Bacon addressed a recent tragedy involving an air mishap on January 31, 2025. He conveyed his sympathies by saying "Condolences to the families of those lost in the tragic air mishap. As a former investigator, I trust the team will find facts and prevent future incidents."
