On January 30, Rep. Bacon expressed enthusiasm about welcoming Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks to Omaha and the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). He stated: "Hey Omaha and @UNMC! Excited to welcome @RepMMM! As a retired Army doctor and member of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, Rep Miller-Meeks brings so much to the table. We had a great chat with UNMC leadership about innovations to enhance health care for all!"
Later that day, he announced a significant legislative development involving former President Donald Trump: "Last night, Pres. Trump signed the Laken Riley Act into law! We are delivering on our promises to the American people."
