Rep. Don Bacon, a current U.S. Congress member representing Nebraska's 2nd district, recently shared his thoughts on several topics via social media. These posts cover a range of issues from government spending to local healthcare services.

On February 4, 2025, Rep. Bacon questioned the expenditures of USAID with the post: "A musical? An opera? A comic book? What has USAID been spending our money on? Most Americans want aid to go to the truly needy and to help further our national interests."

Later that day, at 20:01 UTC, he acknowledged the contributions of former U.S. Representative Brad Ashford in establishing a medical facility in Omaha by stating: "U.S. Rep. Brad Ashford was key in building the Ambulatory Care Center at Omaha VA Hospital, which opened in 2020. His widow, Ann, was touched by the tribute: 'This facility was his crowning achievement.'"

In another tweet posted at 23:18 UTC on February 4th, Rep. Bacon highlighted developments at Children's Hospital & Medical Center in Nebraska: ".@ChildrensNE serves 70,000 NE-02 patients through 300k patient visits and 21k Emergency Dept. visits. Chandra Chacon and Melanie Thornton from the Children’s Hospital Association told me they are expanding pediatric mental healthcare!"
