Rep. Don Bacon, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska's 2nd district, has shared several updates on social media regarding pressing issues of national and international importance. His recent posts address tax policies affecting small businesses, the humanitarian crisis involving Ukrainian children, and cybersecurity threats posed by China.

On February 13, 2025, Rep. Bacon highlighted his discussion with the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) about tax policies impacting small businesses. He warned that if Congress does not act by the end of the year, taxes will increase for 30 million small businesses across various sectors including manufacturing, retailing, farming, and service provision. "This week, I spoke with NFIB about tax policies for small businesses, including the Main Street Tax Certainty Act. If Congress doesn't act by year-end, taxes will rise for 30M small businesses."

Later that day, he reminded followers of a significant humanitarian issue concerning Ukraine. According to Rep. Bacon's post from February 13th at 23:17 UTC "Great reminder that Russia has kidnapped approximately 20,000 Ukrainian children and disbursed them throughout Russia." He emphasized the lack of moral ambiguity in this conflict between perpetrator and victim.

In another post dated February 14th at 01:33 UTC "There must be tough economic consequences for China’s continued cyber attacks on America’s communications and infrastructure." Rep. Bacon advocated for stringent economic repercussions against China's cyber activities targeting American infrastructure and called for a relaxation of USCYBERCOM's rules to enable a more robust response.
