Rep. Don Bacon, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska's 2nd district, recently shared a series of tweets on various topics. Bacon, who has been in office since 2017 after replacing Brad Ashford, expressed his views and experiences through these posts.

On March 7, 2025, Rep. Don Bacon tweeted about welcoming Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Kruse from the Defense Intelligence Agency. He noted his past collaboration with Kruse during their time in the Air Force and expressed pride in Kruse's accomplishments. Bacon stated, "Yesterday, I welcomed Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Kruse, who commands the Defense Intelligence Agency. As a Brig. Gen. in the Air Force, I once worked with then Col. Kruse, & I'm very proud of his well-deserved successes. I'm grateful for his update on the very important mission he leads."

Later that day, Rep. Bacon addressed issues related to peace and victim-blaming in another tweet at 20:09 UTC. He emphasized the need for moral clarity and honesty to achieve just peace by stating, "We want a just peace. Blaming the victim does not accomplish a just peace. Moral clarity and honesty are needed."

In another tweet posted at 20:25 UTC on March 7th, Rep. Bacon shared a quote from a reporter discussing his political performance metaphorically using his last name: "Reporter on Don Bacon: 'Colloquially speaking, in politics, pork is bad, but at least as far as this hearing was concerned, Bacon is good.'"
