Rep. Don Bacon, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska's 2nd district since 2017, shared his views on various political issues and a recent visit to a Nebraska-based company through a series of tweets on March 13, 2025.

In his first tweet of the day, Rep. Bacon compared Russian President Vladimir Putin to former Soviet leader Joseph Stalin. He stated, "Putin is a Stalin 'wannabe.'" The comment suggests Bacon's critical stance on Putin's leadership style and actions.

Later that day, he expanded on his thoughts regarding peace and freedom in Ukraine with another tweet: "Surrendering to a tyrant is not peace. Having your language and cultural heritage ripped away is not peace. Being dominated by a dictator is not peace. We fought the Revolutionary War to get freedom and independence. The absence of war here in Ukraine is not necessarily peace." This message underscores Bacon's perspective on the importance of genuine autonomy and cultural preservation over mere cessation of conflict.

Concluding his series of tweets, Rep. Bacon expressed appreciation for visiting Major Talent, an organization based in Nebraska dedicated to assisting military service members and veterans in their transition to civilian employment opportunities across the United States. He tweeted, "I appreciated the opportunity to visit Major Talent, a Nebraska-based company that helps transitioning military service members and veterans across the country connect with employers."
