Rep. Don Bacon, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska's 2nd district since 2017, shared his thoughts on various topics through a series of tweets. These posts provide insight into his engagements and perspectives on educational initiatives, national defense concerns, and international relations.

On March 13, 2025, Rep. Bacon expressed optimism about the future after visiting West Bay Elementary students studying Nebraska history. He noted their engagement and inquisitiveness as promising signs for what lies ahead. "The students at West Bay Elementary studying Nebraska history make me optimistic for the future, so engaged and inquisitive."

In another tweet posted shortly after, Rep. Bacon addressed concerns related to health issues within the Air Force Missile personnel community. He acknowledged reports of higher cancer rates among those in the ICBM community and committed to investigating these concerns further. He also expressed gratitude towards a veteran from the Torchlight Initiative for sharing personal experiences on this matter. "Air Force Missile personnel are vital to our national defense... Appreciate this veteran from the Torchlight Initiative for sharing his experience."

Later that day, Rep. Bacon responded to feedback regarding his stance on Ukraine by affirming his support for an independent Ukraine aligned with Western interests as crucial to national security. Despite receiving a book recommendation intended to influence his views, he stated that he is already vocal about supporting Ukraine but appreciated the book suggestion nonetheless. "First, I know an independent Ukraine aligned w/ the West is in our national security interest & I've said it loudly... That said, this is a great book! I recommend it!"
