Rep. Don Bacon, a U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska's 2nd district since 2017, recently shared his views on various topics through a series of tweets. Bacon, who has been an active voice in Congress, addressed historical events related to Ukraine, current American public opinion on military aid to Ukraine, and expressed his appreciation for political actions aimed at preventing government shutdowns.

On March 14, 2025, Rep. Don Bacon tweeted about the historical context of Soviet actions in Ukraine: "You drank the kool-aid. The Soviets stole Ukraine’s food for years to build factories causing 3 to 5 million Ukrainians to starve to death. It is very well documented."

In another tweet dated March 15, 2025, Bacon discussed American public opinion regarding military support for Ukraine: "68% of Americans want to provide military aid to Ukraine at current levels or higher. They know that Putin is an enemy and that Ukraine is fighting for freedom."

Later that day, he expressed his approval of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer's actions concerning government operations: "I appreciate Leader Schumer standing above the anger in his AOC leftwing base and voting to not shutdown the government. CRs are a sign of dysfunctional government. The only thing worse is a government shutdown."
