Rep. Don Bacon, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 2nd district, shared a series of statements on social media regarding various topics including infrastructure funding, international conflicts, and media roles. Bacon has been a congressional representative since 2017 after succeeding Brad Ashford.

On March 15, 2025, Rep. Bacon tweeted about his efforts since 2019 to secure substantial funding for rebuilding Offutt Air Force Base following severe flood damage. He stated, "Since 2019, I’ve worked to secure funding for these projects and obtained a total of $1.4B to rebuild Offutt after the terrible flood."

In another tweet posted on March 16, 2025, Bacon addressed issues related to maritime security in the Red Sea. He criticized previous handling of threats posed by the Houthis and expressed support for current administration actions. He commented that "We should have never let the Houthis shutdown the sea lanes in the Red Sea w/ their attacks on shipping." He further emphasized the need for decisive action stating that "The Houthis picked a fight and they must be defeated."

Later on March 16, Bacon underscored the importance of American international broadcasting services such as Voice of America and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. He highlighted their role in promoting American values globally by saying "Voice of America, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty play important roles in getting America’s story to the rest of the world."
