Rep. Don Bacon, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 2nd district, has shared several updates on social media regarding important issues and events. Bacon, who replaced Brad Ashford in 2017, continues to engage with his constituents through various platforms.

On March 20, 2025, Rep. Don Bacon highlighted the significance of Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month by emphasizing the importance of early screening for individuals aged 45 and above. He stated that "March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month and I'm honored to serve on the Colorectal Cancer Caucus. This disease is preventable & treatable, but death rates keep rising. In 2025, thousands will be diagnosed with colon or rectal cancer. If you're 45+, it's time to get screened!"

In a subsequent post on March 21, 2025, Bacon addressed defense spending in Lithuania compared to the United States. He remarked that "Lithuania is going to exceed 5% of their GDP for defense spending because they are clear-eyed about the Russian threat. U.S. leadership and commitment to NATO is as important as ever. As point of reference, the U.S. is spending 2.9% of GDP on defense and it is inadequate."

Later that day, he extended his congratulations to a sports team known as the Jays for their performance in an NCAA event: "Congrats Jays on an outstanding start in the NCAA!"
