Rep. Don Bacon, a Congressional representative for Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, has recently commented on several significant issues via his official social media platform. On March 27, 2025, Rep. Bacon shared his views and efforts on various topics ranging from leadership roles to legislation reforms.

In his first tweet on March 27, Rep. Bacon expressed his disappointment at Rep. Elise Stefanik not being nominated as Ambassador to the United Nations. He stated, “I’m sorry to see @RepStefanik get pulled from the United Nations nomination, as she would have been a fantastic Ambassador. On the positive side, we still get to benefit from her leadership in the House."

In another tweet the same day, Rep. Bacon paid tribute to Amanda Brewer, CEO of Habitat for Humanity Omaha, highlighting her leadership: “Amanda Brewer, CEO of Habitat for Humanity Omaha has a servant heart, leading to the impact of Habitat in the community. I honored her for Women’s History Month this year by reading her accomplishments into the Congressional record.”

Later on March 27, Bacon expressed his appreciation for legislative efforts surrounding public safety through his tweet about the LEOSA Reform Act. He mentioned, “Thank you @JudiciaryGOP for passing the LEOSA Reform Act! My bipartisan bill, co-led with @RepCuellar, enhances public safety by extending concealed carry rights to qualified law enforcement officers dedicated to our communities."
