Congressman Don Bacon, representing Nebraska’s 2nd district, shared his thoughts and initiatives through a series of tweets on April 3, 2025. Known for his active role in Congress since 2017, Bacon addressed key issues from legislative reforms to forthcoming global events.

On April 3, 2025, Bacon highlighted the introduction of the bipartisan LEOSA Reform Act as an important step forward. He stated, "The bipartisan LEOSA Reform Act offers real solutions to address threats such as terrorism and mass shootings by ensuring that our retired & off-duty law enforcement officers can exercise their right to concealed carry – no matter where they live or visit."

Later that day, he reflected on current political circumstances in a separate post, using a historical reference to emphasize the gravity of current issues. He quoted, "This is a Ronald Reagan moment, and the stakes for all of us are too high to waver in our resolve."

Further, Bacon turned his focus to the international sports arena. As the Co-Chair of the Congressional Soccer Caucus, he expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming World Cup. In his tweet, he said, "Just over 433 days until the 2026 World Cup in North America! As Co-Chair of the Congressional Soccer Caucus, I'm excited and committed to ensuring this major global event runs smoothly and safely for everyone involved! "
