Rep. Don Bacon, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 2nd district, has expressed his viewpoints on a range of national and international issues. On April 9, 2025, he addressed matters concerning China, global threats, and interstate commerce through a series of tweets.

In one tweet, Bacon highlighted the challenges posed by China, stating, "Focusing on China is the right answer. They have blocked our exports, steal our technology and then subsidize industries in an attempt to bankrupt ours. Targeted tariffs is the right answer." This statement was made on April 9, 2025 at 18:44:18 UTC.

On the same day at 21:08:52 UTC, Bacon tweeted about the broad range of threats faced by the United States. He wrote, "From China's growing threat to Russia's aggression & Iran, the world's largest exporter of terror, America faces multiple threats. As leader of the free world, we must up our capabilities across all domains, especially in electronic warfare, aircraft & submarine production."

Later, on April 9, 2025, at 23:41:37 UTC, Bacon discussed issues regarding interstate commerce regulations within the U.S., with a focus on the pork industry. He expressed, "I agree. One state cannot dictate the pork industry for the other 49 states. Congress regulates interstate commerce and we need to regain the national standard."

Don Bacon has served in the U.S. Congress, representing Nebraska's 2nd District, since 2017. He was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently resides in Papillion. Bacon earned his undergraduate degree from Northern Illinois University in 1984 and pursued further education at the University of Phoenix.
