Representative Don Bacon of Nebraska’s 2nd district recently shared various updates through his social media platform tweets. His posts reflect interests ranging from fostering innovation in education to addressing agricultural challenges and condemning international war crimes.

On April 10, 2025, Rep. Don Bacon shared his excitement over meeting Erica Zhang from Elkhorn North, the winner of a Congressional App Challenge. He applauded Zhang's creation: "Enjoyed meeting Elkhorn North's Erica Zhang, winner of our Congressional App Challenge! Her app 'Mind Bloom' transforms studying into an engaging game, helping students develop better study habits. Inspiring to see such innovative solutions from our young leaders!".

Later that day, Bacon highlighted the challenges faced by Nebraska pork growers, expressing gratitude for the discussion with local producers. He tweeted, "They say Bacon goes with everything — especially Nebraska AG! Thank you @NEporkproducers for a productive meeting about supporting our state's pork industry. Due to the current trade environment, pork growers in Nebraska are facing a loss of $20 per head in the futures markets.".

On April 11, 2025, Bacon addressed international issues, condemning purported war crimes in Eastern Europe. His tweet stated, "Russians have routinely executed Ukrainian POWs the last three years. War crimes."

Don Bacon has been representing Nebraska's 2nd district since 2017, succeeding Brad Ashford. Born in Momence, Illinois, Bacon has had a long career, including educational achievements from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix and currently resides in Papillion.
