He highlighted the historical significance of the Danish community in Omaha and Council Bluffs in the 1920s, expressing enthusiasm for an ongoing partnership. "Yesterday, I met with representatives from the Danish Embassy to discuss our strong alliance and shared values. In another post dated the same day, Bacon reported on his meeting with Major General Andrus Merilo, Chief of Defense for the Republic of Estonia. He praised Estonia as a "model NATO ally" and noted that Estonia invests a higher percentage of its GDP in defense compared to the United States. He emphasized the shared commitments to "democracy, free markets & individual freedoms," and stated, "We are stronger together." Bacon was born in Momence, Illinois, in 1963, and resides in Papillion. He holds a BA from Northern Illinois University as well as a degree from the University of Phoenix.
