Rep. Don Bacon, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 2nd district, shared insights on recent events through his Twitter platform. Bacon, who has been in office since 2017 after replacing former U.S. Congress member Brad Ashford, communicated his participation in various community engagements and international stances.

On April 23, 2025, Rep. Don Bacon expressed his gratitude for attending the groundbreaking ceremony for the Chabad Village Campus. He acknowledged the contributions of Rabbi Katzman and his team, stating: "Yesterday I was honored to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the Chabad Village Campus. Thanks to Rabbi Katzman and his team, our community has benefited from 40 years of educational, cultural, and social service programs through Chabad of Nebraska."

In another tweet from the same day, he reaffirmed U.S. solidarity with a global democratic partner in the face of terrorism: "The oldest democracy stands with the largest democracy in the world against this terror."

Later, Rep. Bacon shared his vision for economic growth in Omaha, Nebraska. He was present at a significant local event, expressing the hope that economic developments would expand throughout the region. He noted, "Nebraska Congressman Don Bacon attended the event to celebrate the latest development. 'We need to get in more supermarkets and restaurants, so this is a seed that I hope grows into all of north Omaha,' he said."

Don Bacon, 59, originally from Momence, Illinois, is a notable political figure within Nebraska known for his educational achievements, including degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix. He now resides in Papillion and continues his efforts in Congress representing his constituents.
