Rep. Don Bacon of Nebraska, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2017, recently shared his views through a series of tweets on varied topics such as diplomacy, clandestine operations, and American cybersecurity. Born in 1963 in Momence, Illinois, Bacon has a storied career in both education, with degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix, and in service to the public, currently representing Nebraska’s 2nd district.

On April 30, 2025, Bacon articulated his belief in the power of diplomacy, expressing support for using American agriculture to combat global hunger. He tweeted: "I do believe in diplomacy and support using American AG in helping feed starving people. Less diplomacy means more war."

Within the same timeframe, Bacon remarked on a covert operation, describing it as a significant success in history. His tweet stated: "This will go down as one of the most successful clandestine operations in history."

Later in the day, he acknowledged the leadership of LTG William J. Hartman following a meeting. Bacon highlighted his own role as Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee Cyber Subcommittee, expressing gratitude for Hartman's leadership. He posted: "Important meeting with LTG William J. Hartman, Acting Commander of US Cyber Command & Director of NSA. As Chairman of the HASC Cyber Subcommittee, I am grateful for his steady leadership of these two critical organizations on the front line of America’s national security."

Don Bacon continues to actively engage in public service, contributing to discussions on critical national and international issues from his position in Congress.
