Rep. Don Bacon, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, shared several thoughts and announcements on May 4, 2025. In a tweet posted at 11:38 AM UTC, Bacon refuted an unspecified claim by stating "If it were true I’d agree. But it is not true."

Later that day, at 3:48 PM UTC, Bacon extended his congratulations to Warren Buffett upon the announcement of his retirement. He praised Buffett's positive outlook on America with the words "I always appreciate his optimistic message on America. He’s 'bullish' on America! 'Never count America out!'"

He highlighted the potential $1,600 tax increase Nebraskans might face without extending current cuts and emphasized reforms aimed at strengthening Medicaid while protecting vulnerable populations. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently residing in Papillion, Don Bacon graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BA in 1984 before furthering his education at the University of Phoenix.
