On May 11, 2025, Rep. Bacon expressed gratitude towards his wife Angie on Mother's Day. He stated, "I thank my wife Angie for being such a great mom to our four children and eight grandchildren. With 40 years in the AF and Congress, she’s been the force and the heart keeping us strong."
Later that day, he extended his Mother’s Day wishes to his constituents by tweeting, "Wishing a Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms of Nebraska’s Second District!"
On May 12, 2025, Rep. Bacon discussed international relations following a meeting with Jonathan Reynolds from the United Kingdom. He tweeted about their discussion on trade relations: "Our delegation met with Jonathan Reynolds, Secretary of State for Business and Trade for the United Kingdom. The recent trade deal between our two countries is a win-win agreement. Strong U.S.-UK trade is vital for both economies."
Don Bacon was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently resides in Papillion. He graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BA in 1984 and furthered his education at the University of Phoenix.
