Rep. Don Bacon, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska's 2nd district since 2017, has recently made several statements on social media regarding international and national security issues.

On May 13, Rep. Bacon addressed a misunderstanding involving DOGEai and the extent of damage to a military base, stating "Obviously DOGEai doesn’t know that the Security Forces building was just one of many buildings that had to be replaced. A third of the base was destroyed. DOGEai is not all there yet!".

In another statement dated May 14, Rep. Bacon shared information from Reporters Without Borders concerning China's treatment of journalists: "The latest info from Reporters Without Borders on China. It is a nation w/out basic freedoms." He further quoted the organization saying, "The People’s Republic of China is the world's largest prison for journalists, & it conducts a campaign of repression against journalism and the right to information worldwide.".

Later on May 14, Rep. Bacon commented on an international security issue involving Germany and Russia: "Germans uncover Russian plot to bomb commercial cargo jet… AGAIN. Putin is a cornered rat.".

Don Bacon, aged 59 and born in Momence, Illinois in 1963, currently resides in Papillion. He holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
