Rep. Don Bacon, a U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, recently shared insights and updates on his social media platform. The posts cover a range of topics from energy policy to fiscal oversight and infrastructure development.

On May 13, 2025, Rep. Bacon encouraged readers to explore his op-ed in Real Clear Energy titled "Unleashing America’s Hydrogen Potential to Achieve Energy Dominance". The piece discusses strategies for leveraging hydrogen as a key component in achieving national energy dominance.

Later that day, he addressed his stance on fiscal matters by confirming his opposition to increasing the size of IRS auditors. In his tweet, he stated, "You are right that I opposed the doubling the size of the IRS auditors. Doubling the size of the IRS was the center part of the bill and I opposed that." He also reiterated his support for an inclusive energy strategy aimed at securing energy dominance.

In another update posted on May 13, 2025, Rep. Bacon celebrated a significant achievement related to infrastructure rebuilding efforts at Offutt Air Force Base following damage from a flood in 2019. He announced "Congrats to the Offutt Defenders! Our team obtained $1.2B to rebuild the portions of Offutt that were destroyed in the 2019 flood." He emphasized that new constructions would be designed to withstand future flooding.

Don Bacon was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently resides in Papillion. He graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BA and later from the University of Phoenix.
