Rep. Don Bacon, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska's 2nd district, has shared updates on recent legislative and military developments through his social media platform. Born in Momence, Illinois, in 1963, Bacon has been an active member of Congress since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017.

On May 14, 2025, Rep. Bacon announced a significant development regarding the LEOSA Reform Act. He stated: "My statement on today's significant House vote passing the bipartisan LEOSA Reform Act https://t.co/aafPE7ksUk". This announcement marks a notable moment for law enforcement officers as it aims to reform existing regulations.

In another update on May 15, 2025, Bacon extended congratulations to the "43rd Electronic Combat Squadron 'Bats'" for achieving a milestone in their training missions. He tweeted: "Congrats to the 43rd Electronic Combat Squadron “Bats” on flying the first EA-37B training mission! Our NE02 team helped procure 10 EA-37s, but we know we need more to counter peer military competitors. Dominating the electronic magnetic spectrum is imperative to win in combat." This reflects his commitment to strengthening national defense capabilities.

Later that day, Rep. Bacon highlighted further details about the LEOSA Reform Act with another tweet: "'The LEOSA Reform Act would extend qualified law enforcement officers' concealed carry privileges beyond the current law.'
