Rep. Don Bacon, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 2nd District since 2017, recently shared several updates through his social media platform. Born in Momence, Illinois, and currently residing in Papillion, Bacon has been active in various legislative discussions and community engagements.

On May 16, 2025, Rep. Bacon posted about a meeting with Forward Party CEO Lindsey Williams Drath. He stated that it was an "insightful discussion on congressional bipartisanship," highlighting "various opportunities for cross-aisle collaboration and ways to strengthen cooperative efforts in Congress." The full post can be accessed here.

In another post on the same day, Rep. Bacon addressed the cyber readiness of U.S. forces. He expressed concern that despite over a decade of effort to reach foundational standards, adversaries remain undeterred. He remarked that "we're not meeting our potential" and after 15 years of efforts, expectations have not been fully realized. The tweet is available here.

On May 17, Rep. Bacon encouraged constituents to stay informed by signing up for his newsletter for the latest updates from his office. This invitation aims to keep the public engaged with his activities and policy positions as he continues his tenure in Congress. More details are provided here.

Don Bacon's extensive service record includes education at Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
