On May 21, Rep. Bacon invited Nebraskans to join the Nebraska Breakfast, a longstanding tradition held every Wednesday when Congress is in session. He encouraged participation from those planning to visit Washington, D.C., providing a link for RSVPs and further information.
The following day, May 22, Rep. Bacon issued a statement strongly condemning an attack that resulted in the deaths of two Israeli embassy staff members during an event at the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C. As Co-Chair of the Bipartisan Task Force for Combating Antisemitism, he emphasized the necessity of zero tolerance for such acts.
Later on May 22, Rep. Bacon expressed pleasure in reconnecting with an old acquaintance from his time at Ramstein Air Base by sharing that it was "Great to see Ken from our days at Ramstein AB 15 years ago… he’s now at New York Times!"
Don Bacon was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently resides in Papillion. He graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BA and later attended the University of Phoenix.
