Rep. Don Bacon, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, recently shared his views on international and social media issues through a series of tweets.
On June 1, 2025, Rep. Bacon commented on the geopolitical situation involving Russia by stating, "Putin has sown the wind and is now reaping the whirlwind."
Later that day, he expressed a personal need to expand his social media presence by tweeting, "I need to add some followers fast."
In another tweet posted on June 1, 2025, Rep. Bacon addressed military actions in Ukraine with a statement: "The Russians were using their strategic bombers to fire cruise missiles and other weapons into Ukrainian cities. The bombers were very legitimate targets. Russia bombs cities. Ukraine bombs military targets."
Don Bacon was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently resides in Papillion. He graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BA in 1984 and furthered his education at the University of Phoenix.
