Rep. Don Bacon, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 2nd district, shared his insights and experiences through a series of tweets on June 2 and 3, 2025. These posts cover topics ranging from healthcare visits to international conflicts.
On June 2, Rep. Bacon highlighted a recent visit to the Nebraska Medicine Psychiatric Emergency Room. He described it as "productive," noting the dedication of Nebraska Medicine leaders. According to Bacon, their "tireless commitment to advancing healthcare and strengthening emergency preparedness continues to make a profound impact on our community." "Last week we had a productive visit at the Nebraska Medicine Psychiatric Emergency Room, meeting with Nebraska Medicine leaders."
Later that day, he addressed an incident involving anti-Semitism following discussions about geopolitical tensions. He characterized it as "a war of choice" by Putin against Ukraine's aspirations for democracy and Western alignment. Bacon emphasized the importance of supporting Ukraine's sovereignty and freedom: "Putin's brutal invasion of Ukraine is a war of choice."
Don Bacon has served in Congress since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017 and resides in Papillion, Nebraska.
