Rep. Don Bacon, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 2nd district, shared updates on his recent activities through a series of tweets on June 3, 2025.

On June 3, Rep. Bacon reflected on participating in the Juneteenth flag-raising ceremony at Union for Contemporary Art. He expressed that it was an honor to join the event and emphasized the importance of celebrating freedom and resilience while remembering those who fought for equality and justice. Bacon noted that their courage continues to inspire efforts toward achieving a more perfect union. "Yesterday I was honored to join the Juneteenth flag raising ceremony at Union for Contemporary Art..."

Later that day, Rep. Bacon mentioned having a productive meeting with HDR, highlighting their development projects transforming communities worldwide. He commended HDR's innovative work for its positive global impact and encouraged learning more about their initiatives in Omaha through a provided link. "We had a productive meeting with HDR, learning about their impressive development projects..."

In another update posted on June 3, Rep. Bacon described his visit to Aviture, a veteran-owned small business based in Omaha. He highlighted Aviture's role in developing innovative software solutions for the US Air Force and Department of State, including applications related to military recruitment, disaster relief, and housing management. Don Bacon has served Nebraska's 2nd District since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017 and was born in Momence, Illinois.
