Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963, Bacon now resides in Papillion and has been active in community and national affairs.
On June 4, 2025, Rep. Bacon highlighted the transformation of LaVista during the opening of LaVista Days with Mayor Doug Kindig. He noted that "just a few years ago this area was very quiet and now it is alive with concerts, food, and housing." This development is attributed to effective local leadership.
In another post on the same day, Rep. Bacon expressed gratitude towards Newt Gingrich for his supportive comments about congressional collaboration. He emphasized that "Congress works best when members bring their unique experiences, ideas, and district perspectives to the table."
