Rep. Don Bacon, currently serving Nebraska’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, has recently shared a series of tweets highlighting his ongoing engagements and initiatives. Bacon, who took office in 2017 after succeeding Brad Ashford, has emphasized educational programs, international diplomacy, and constituent communication through his social media presence.

On June 7, 2025, Rep. Bacon highlighted the role of the Congressional Youth Advisory Academy (CYAA) in educating high school students about congressional operations and policy formation. According to Bacon's tweet, "CYAA educates high school students about how Congress works and how policy is formed. It aims to foster lifelong civic engagement and community service for our younger generations." He further noted that CYAA offers opportunities for student interaction and peer connection.

Later that day, Rep. Bacon shared details of a meeting with Minister Ken Ono from the Embassy of Japan via another tweet. The discussions centered around the strong alliance between the United States and Japan and their shared concerns regarding Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Bacon described Japan as "one of America's most important strategic partners."

On June 8, 2025, Rep. Bacon encouraged constituents to stay informed by subscribing to his newsletter in a tweet that read: "Stay Up To Date! Sign up for my newsletter to receive the latest updates from my office."
