Rep. Don Bacon, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, shared his views on various issues through a series of tweets on June 8, 2025.

In a tweet posted at 18:04 UTC, Bacon highlighted that "72% of Americans want work requirements for abled bodied adults without small children." He elaborated that the requirement involves "20 hours a week," which includes volunteering, taking classes, and time spent seeking work. He assured that Medicaid recipients mentioned in the story would be protected.

Later, at 20:26 UTC, Bacon expressed his opinion about an individual named Gunther by stating, "This guy Gunther is a pro-Putin looney tune."

At 22:45 UTC, Bacon described his engagement with Danish officials by tweeting about a "great discussion with Ambassador Sørensen, Prince Joachim and Danish defense leaders on strengthening our partnership." He acknowledged Denmark's increased defense investments and service in Afghanistan as evidence of their strong NATO commitment and expressed excitement to expand cooperation.

Don Bacon was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently resides in Papillion. He graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BA in 1984 and furthered his education at the University of Phoenix.
